Funeral services for Brenda Johnson were held at 1 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 14, 2016) at the Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Rev. Tim Munday officiated.
Mrs. Johnson, a 63-year-old Tindall resident, died at Sunnyview Nursing Home at 2:03 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016.
Recordings of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, “Waltz Across Texas” and “Kern River Blues” were played.
Pallbearers were Albert Batson, Jim Clark, Mike Batson, Lee Ellis, Don Clark, Clint Batson, Jeffrey Clark and Craig Sager.
Honorary pallbearers were Kadyn Urton, Kean Urton, Colten Johnson, Braxten Johnson and Langsten Johnson.
Burial was in South Evans Cemetery, northeast of Trenton.
Mrs. Johnson was born on Aug. 31, 1953 in Trenton, the daughter of Martin and Patricia Ricketts Batson. She was married to Richard Johnson on May 14, 1971 in Trenton.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Johnson of Tindall; a son, Casey Johnson and his wife, Shanna of Chillicothe; a daughter, Kelli Urton and her husband, Robert of Beaver Lake, NE; four brothers, Jake Batson of Galt, Tom Batson of Eldridge, IA, Dave Batson of Surprise, AZ and Carl Batson of Trenton; two sisters, Lois Buttenob of Mansfield and Linda Bonzer of Rolla; five grandchildren, Kadyn and Kean Urton and Colten, Braxten and Langsten Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Don Batson; and a sister, Sandra Rae Ellis.
