FFA Keeps Busy

Oct 31, 2016 | Headline News

Submitted Photos On Oct. 18, 22 Trenton FFA Members and the two advisors set off on an adventure to Indianapolis, IN for the 89th National FFA Convention. On the road trip to Indianapolis the FFA members met with the Savannah FFA Chapter and rode a charter bus. When they arrived in Indianapolis they went to Pro Go-Karts, where they battled each other and the advisors became NASCAR drivers in the fastest go-karts around. The following day, the FFA members got to travel back in time at Connor Prairie by walking through buildings and museums featuring previous years. They then toured the Equipment Technology Sprayers, where they got the opportunity to sit in a new sprayer. They also attended the first general session of the FFA convention, where they listened to national officers speak, the national FFA advisor speak and the keynote speaker, Diana Nyad, who told those attending to presevere toward their dreams because no matter what, it is possible. To end the night, the FFA all made memories at the Chris Young and Cole Swindell concert. On Oct. 20, the FFA members attended the FFA Career Show and Expo where they got the opportunity to see colleges, career opportunities and much more. Following the Expo they toured Falling Water Farms. To end the trip, they all attended a hypnotist show put on by Jim Wand. (Submitted by Reporter Emily Kasinger)
