Melody Richmond, a 58-year-old resident of Spickard, died on Tuesday, Oct 11, 2016 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
The body was cremated. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Richmond was born on May 28, 1958 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Donald and Shirley Berfield. She was married on Sept. 25, 1976 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manito, IL to Jesse Richmond, who survives of the home.
She is also survived by a daughter, Rhiannon Wilhite of Camden; a son, Jesse Richmond IV of Spickard; four grandchildren, Ashley Snow, Austin Richmond, Nathaniel Wilhite and Madison Wilhite; three sisters, Debby Wilson, Penny Berfield and Tracy Berfield, all of Peoria; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesse Richmond II and Brenda Richmond of Yuma, AZ; and three sisters-in-law, Julie Burgard of Table Grove, IL, Jacqueline Johnson of Chillicothe, IL and Jonine Jaycox of Spickard.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
