The weather couldn’t have been any better for the first-ever Galt Fair Fall Festival on Saturday. A number of events were held during the day, including an archery shoot and hay rides enjoyed by both young and old alike. The day ended with a dance. Among competition winners were Peggy Tipton of Galt, first place in pie baking with a cherry raspberry pie; Lynda Berry of Galt, second place in pie baking with an apple pie; scarecrow decorating, 1. Jenny Gann, 2. Lynda Berry, 3. Martha Jackson; adult pumpkin decorating, 1. Delbert Jackson, 2. Katrina Gamet, 3. Aubrey Gann; child pumpkin decorating, 1. Waylon Jackson, 2. Kruiz Allnutt; and archery shoot, Clint Griswold, TIC TAC TOE, individual; Matthew and Steve McLain, TIC TAC TOE, team; Matthew McLain, hitting most out of five balloons; and Jay Blackburn and Steve McLain, poker hand winners.
