The weather could not have been any better for the first-ever Serve Trenton event held this past weekend. Over 250 persons took part in the community service activities, which included house painting, sidewalk replacement, floor scraping and tree and brush cutting/removal. Meals were also served to participants on both days. On Saturday, 14 projects were completed while 13 projects were on the list for Sunday. Participants included both older and younger volunteers with some 10 churches being represented. According to organizers, it is hoped this can become an annual event held on the last weekend of every September.
