The Grundy and Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation Districts are hosting the “Northwest Women In Ag Night” at the Barton Farm Campus on Thursday, Oct. 20.
Registration will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. and the event is from 4 to 8 p.m. Featured will be a one-hour session with Bill and Tammy George on beekeeping. T.J. Peacher and Adam Bransgaard of the Missouri Department of Conservation will provide instruction on outdoor cooking and making fire starters. There will also be a session on grass-fed beef. The Grundy County Health Department will also be at the event.
The cost is $10 with limited seating available. The registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 3. Registration forms are available at the Grundy County SWCD office in Trenton, the Mercer County SWCD office in Princeton or on the Grundy County website at http://swcd.mo.gov/grundy/events.htm.
