Six Grundy County and one Mercer County 4-H members participated in the 4-H state archery shoot 300 round on Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28. Levi Johnson, Remington Olmstead, Seth Doolittle and Hannah Meighen (Mercer County) competed in the junior compound release competition against 117 other youth from across the state. Levi received 21st place and Remington finished in 49th place. Kaci Persell and Anna Hines competed in the intermediate compound release competition against 129 other youth from across the state. Kaci received 14th place and Hannah Persell received fifth place in the senior recurve freestyle competition.
