Hometown Pharmacy won the tournament, turning in a score of 59 in the three-person, scramble-style tournament. The trio of Mike Palmer, Dave Jennings and Cliff Roeder made up the winning trio. The team’s mark of 59 was one stroke better than Team Fries, BTC Bank and Grundy County Lumber, all of which finished at 60. Team Fries – made up of Bill Fries, Evan Fries and Derek Thorne – ended up second after a scorecard playoff.
“I am so thankful for everyone that supported our golf tournament this year,” NCMC Foundation Director Teresa Cross said. “It was a huge success thanks to the teams that participated, businesses that donated, volunteers who helped, the Green Hills Golf Course and the students who shared their stories. This year was one of our biggest years yet and we look forward to having it again next year.”
The tournament consisted of two flights, with Farmers State Bank – Nathan Cross, Roger Hawkins and Rob Maloney – winning the A Flight with a score of 70, which beat out Bendure & Associates – Bob Overton, Bill Bendure and Keith Bendure – and Trenton HyVee/Republican-Times – Wendell Lenhart, Mack Woodard and Eric Woodard – in a scorecard playoff.
