One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon in Mercer County.
Dan Johnson, 54, received minor injuries in the accident, which occurred on Route A, three-tenths of a mile south of Modena. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Johnson was the driver of a truck that was southbound when it went out of control on the wet pavement, traveling through a standing water puddle. The truck skidded off the right side of the road, striking and embankment and overturning one time, ejecting Johnson from the vehicle. The truck came to rest on top of a fence.
Johnson refused medical treatment at the scene. The truck was demolished.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. Adam McAtee, assisted by Sgt. Doug Little and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
