Tammy J. Adams, Spring-field, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license and was fined $37.50 and $68.50 costs.
Cailin R. Dixon, Princeton, pleaded not guilty to animal abuse and had her case set for Sept. 27.
Jonathon A. McAtee, Trenton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of operating a vehicle with defective equipment and was fined $200 and $68.50 costs.
Julie A. Phelps, Mercer, pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle and failing to display a certificate of vehicle inspection or approval and was fined $27.50 and $68.50 costs on each charge.
Wilbert B. Scheib, Trenton, waived his preliminary hearing and had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a charge of driving while intoxicated (persistent offender). He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 15.
Cody W. Swan, Princeton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to stealing. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 27.
Ellen O. Stevenson, Trenton, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $300 and $116.50 costs and is to pay $98 recoupment of funds.
Isaac J. Wattenbarger, Trenton, had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a charge of first degree sexual abuse, a class C felony, following a preliminary hearing after which the court ruled there was sufficient evidence to believe a felony had been committed and that the defendant may have committed it. His cases were certified to the Circuit Division on charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 15.
Anthony R. Avalos, Gilman City, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $76.50 and $68.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license and was fined $37.50 and $68.50 costs.
Levi G. Bell, Trenton, pleaded guilty to first degree peace disturbance and resisting arrest. He was sentenced to serve 14 days in the Grundy County Detention Center on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently. He was given credit for time served. He is to pay $50 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Fund on each charge and is to pay $116.50 costs.
Christopher B. Hancock, Trenton, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $76.50 and $68.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license and was fined $37.50 and $68.50 costs.
Kenneth R. Kincaid, Trenton, pleaded guilty to violating a protection order for an adult and driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to serve 14 days in the Grundy County Detention Center on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently and credit given for time served. He is also to pay $50 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund and $200 recoupment of funds. He also pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle in a carelesss and imprudent manner and was fined $200. He is also to pay $116.50 costs.
Richard L. Walker, Trenton, pleaded guilty to violating a protection order for an adult and was fined $200 and $116.50 costs.
