Active Shooter Drill At NCMC

North Central Missouri College, in cooperation with the Grundy County Emergency Management, Trenton Police Department, Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Trenton Fire Department, Grundy County Ambulance and the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency, will be conducting an active shooter drill on Friday, Aug. 19 on the NCMC campus.
The drill is designed to enhance the preparedness of faculty and emergency responders in the event that an event of this magnitude was to occur at the college campus. The drill will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at approximately noon. The public is encouraged to avoid the area due to congestion from emergency vehicles.
During the time of the event, the following streets will be closed: Main Street, from Crowder Road to West 12th; Cedar Street, from Crowder to West 12th; and Mable Street will be closed from Crowder to East 12th.
Also closed are the NCMC campus, bookstore and offices, which will re-open at 10 a.m.
