The City of Trenton will hold its annual tax rate hearing at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22 at city hall.
The hearing will be part of the regular city council meeting. The city is proposing a tax of $1.105261 on the $100 assessed valuation. Of that tax, .9336 will be for the general fund, which has been estimated to bring in around $475,000, while .1725 for the park department is anticipated to bring in $88,500. This is based on an assessed valuation of $54,206,948, which is down nearly $640,000 from a year ago.
