Horticulture
There were seven persons who entered 47 articles in the Horticulture Division of the NCM Fair. Officials said there were several nice articles on display, however, the weather did not cooperate, which kept down the number of entries. There were several new classes added this year, including herbs.
Those with entries included Lana Snider of Independence; Loretta Ray, Caleb Ray, Luanne Oneal, Stephanie Brassfield and Ginny Wikoff, all of Trenton; and Twila Johnson of Spickard.
Rabbits, poultry and dairy cattle were judged during activities today, with the Tuff Truck Competition to be held at the grandstand beginning at 7 o’clock tonight. The sheep and goat shows will be held on Friday, with ATV/Motocross races to be held at the grandstand Friday evening and music by Hammertoe and Fun Guys to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the courtyard.
