Computerized voter identification greeted Grundy County residents who went to the polls today for the August Primary Election. After proving their identification voters electronically signed the precinct registration list. Election officials will now be able to match the number of ballots recorded by the machine with the ballots that are still being cast by hand, but electronically counted. First ward judge Donna Jobe, right, assisted Bill Betz with the new machine this morning. Voting ends at 7 o’clock tonight. Election results will be on Tele-News 11 and the R-T website, www.republican-times.com, tonight, with complete results in Wednesday’s R-T.
