An old-fashioned ice cream social and band music is planned for this Friday night in Sesquicentennial Park.
The Trenton High School Band will perform several musical selections, beginning at 8 p.m., while members of the Trenton Band Boosters will be serving homemade ice cream for a donation. Money raised will be used to help finance a trip the band is planning later this fall.
In addition, plans are being made for an outdoor movie to be shown at the park that same evening. Citizens Bank and Trust is sponsoring the movie, “Believe in Me,” which is about a high school girls’ basketball team and their efforts to get to the state championships.
