Registration dates for the 2016-17 school year at Trenton High School and Trenton Middle School have been announced.
THS freshman orientation and iPad checkout will take place on Monday, Aug. 8 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Aug. 9, sophomores will enroll and check out iPads from 5 to 6:30 p.m. while junior enrollment and iPad checkout is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Seniors will enroll and check out iPads from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
New student registration at TMS will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Tuesday, Aug. 2 to Friday, Aug. 5 in the middle school office. New students will then need to return on their assigned registration day to pick up schedules.
Come-and-go registration will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 10 for students in grades five, six and eight from 5 to 7 p.m. Fifth graders will register in the commons while sixth grade registration will take place in the library and eighth grade registration will be done in the gym. Seventh grade registration is slated for Monday, Aug. 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Seventh and eighth grade students will be allowed to pick out their own locker on a first-come, first-serve basis, provided fines and fees from previous years have been paid. Parents may also pay lunch money, ag fees (seventh and eighth grade) and purchase a yearbook (at a discounted rate) during their children’s registration time.
Seventh and eighth grade students will also receive their iPads during registration time. Parents must accompany students to fill out paperwork and pay a $25 tech fee. Eighth graders will pick up their iPad in the library, starting at 7:30 p.m. on the first day of school, which is Aug. 17. Seventh grade iPad pickup will take place during registration time on Aug. 15.
