Jackie Wayne Ward, a 72-year-old resident of Lineville, IA, died on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, IA.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville with Pastor Norma Gott officiating.
Open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, where the family visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to leaving for the cemetery.
Mr. Ward was born on May 3, 1944 in Mercer, the son of Lyle and Lois Vinetta Porter Ward. He was raised in Lineville, where he lived most of his life and attended Lineville schools. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He was married on Aug. 14, 1971, to Sharla Rae Carson, who survives of the home in Lineville.
He is also survived by his son, Rick Easton, and his daughter, Sherri Barker and her husband, Chad, all of Lineville; four grandchildren, Hayley, Emily, Austin and Cayley; a step-grandson, Kane; two brothers, Jerry Ward and his wife, Sandy and John Ward and his wife, Kathy; two sisters, Julie Coramesser and her husband, John and Janie Rich; a sister-in-law, Ada Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Jim Ward.
