This year’s event raised $15,000, with those proceeds earmarked to help the foundation make future improvements to the local hospital.
“The support generated from local businesses, community members and hospital vendors for this wonderful tournament are truly amazing,” Foundation Development Officer Kurt Mylenbusch said. “The support to our annual event will allow us to keep pace with the demands of technology and health care services in our service area.”
Winning this year’s tournament was the Dorothy Fries Team, which consisted of Bill Fries, Evan Fries and Josh Bushkofsky. That trio carded a team mark of 58, one stroke better than runner-up Hometown Pharmacy, which consisted of Dave Jennings, Cindy Jennings and Josh Gottman. That trio finished with a team score of 59.
In the B Flight, three groups tied for first. Barnes-Baker Automotive (Gene Wyant, Fred Zeiger and Leon Spencer); Andereck Evans Law Firm (Tara Walker, Terry Walker and Mike Hooker); and Citizens Bank & Trust (Bill Young, Mark Thompson and Bill Titcomb) all carded scores of 69 each.
