R-9 Summer School Begins On Monday, May 23

Trenton R-9 Summer School will begin on Monday, May 23 with more than 300 students enrolled.
The school district is partnering with Catapult Learning for this year’s summer program, which will be held at the S.M. Rissler Elementary School. Students may win daily attendance prizes and students with perfect attendance will qualify for a $100 gift card.
Classes will begin each day at 7:45 a.m. and dismiss at 3 p.m. Morning classes will feature topics involving the core courses of language arts, social studies, science and math. Science, technology, engineering and math activities are planned for the afternoon sessions. There will also be a high school driver’s education class.
Summer school classes will continue through June 24.
Both breakfast and lunch will be served free of charge to all students. Breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Transportation will be provided to students who live in the R-9 School District. The bus schedule will be published in the Republican-Times on Thursday, May 19. Questions regarding bus routes should be directed to Apple Bus at 339-7227.
Those wishing to enroll may still do so at the Rissler School office on Monday. Questions about summer school may be directed to administrator E’Lisha Gass at 359-2228.
