Diabetes Event Set In Trenton

The Grundy County Health Department will host a diabetes education event, “Spring into Good Control,” at 6 p.m. on Monday May 23 in the community room of the health department.
Jana Curry, certified diabetes educator, will present the event, which is free and open to the public. Ms. Curry will also be able to meet with Grundy County residents with a private appointment to help with more individual diabetes questions and concerns. To schedule an appointment, persons can call the health department at 359-4196.
Also that evening, the health department will be offering free A1C testing to those attending the event, checking the average blood glucose levels over the past three months. It is used in the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes. The testing will start at 5:30 p.m. To participate, persons are asked to contact the health department to reserve a spot. A limited number of walk-ins will be available.
