Spickard Council Swears In Members

The Spickard City Council met on Monday night, swearing in two board members and discussing a number of items.
According to information provided by City Clerk Mary Exley, Betty Lee and Maggie George were sworn in as members of the council for the next two years. Jonine Jaycox was recognized for her time as a council member.
The council voted to return a water deposit to a resident who had already moved and voted to pay for liability insurance on one building while continuing current coverage on the second structure. The council received a letter from its attorney, John Young, stating he would no longer be practicing law in Princeton. Janice Vandevender volunteered to pick up the city’s legal file from Young.
An executive session was held with no announcement made. The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 13.
