Judge Steven D. Hudson
Kevin K. Soutter, Liberty, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of operating a vehicle with defective brakes and was fined $200 and $68.50 costs.
The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $55.50 were Blanche A. Archer, Jamesport, and Kendra D. Stinson, Prairie Home.
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $30.50 were Dannie L. Baker, Ridgeway; Jeffrey A. Saul, Trenton; and Keri N. Schreffler, Princeton.
Associate Civil
Discover Bank vs. Michael S. Hawkins. The court entered a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $2,512.07. The case involved a suit on account.
Lobel Financial Inc., as assignee of Griffin Auto vs. Joshua D. Vandevender. A consent judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $5,057.02. The case involved breach of contract.
Municipal Division
Judge Steven D. Hudson
Jeffrey Chad Corbin, Trenton, pleaded guilty to violating the city’s curfew for minors and was fined $50.50 and $37.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to violating the open container law and was fined $50.50 and $37.50 costs. He pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle without a proper license and was fined $75.50 and $37.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for two years and is to pay $300 and $37.50 costs as well as paying $170 recoupment of funds. A charge of being a minor in possession of intoxicating liquor was dismissed.
Daniel R. Weaver, Kirksville, failed to appear in court on a charge of driving without a valid license and had a fine and costs of $287.50 taken from his bond.
Tanner Ceplecha, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to drive on the right half of the roadway and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for six months and is to pay $15.50 to the city of Trenton and $41.50 costs.
Lois E. Crouse, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to display a valid vehicle license plate and was sentenced to serve 15 days in the Grundy County Detention Center.
