The North Central Missouri College Foundation will recognize this year’s Distinguished Alumni and Lead Gift Contributors during the Day of Celebration on Thursday, April 28.
Being honored as the newest Distinguished Alumni are Harry Bratton of Lee’s Summit, Herb Webster of Kearney and Jack Derry, Phil Hoffman and Robert Witten, all of Trenton. Lead Gift Contributors being honored are Dr. Albert and Carol Cross as well as the Bert and Rose Hoover Foundation. Hoover Foundation Board Members are Meredith Black, Laura Sue Daniels, Phil Hoffman, Tracy Utley and Mack Woodard.
The Distinguished Alumni and Lead Gift Contributors will be honored during a luncheon in the Sugg Room of the Ketcham Community Center. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting NCMC Development Director Teresa Cross at 359-3948, ext. 1403 or by e-mail at [email protected]
Other activities during the Day of Celebration will include the Trenton High School Gold Rush, performing under the direction of Tyler Busick. Also included will be a tour of the Barton Farm Campus and a reception held to honor scholarship recipients, which will be held at 3 p.m. in the Cross Hall Coffee Shop. Dr. John Holcomb will be the event’s master of ceremonies.
Reservations for the student recognition can be made with the development office.
The celebration will conclude with music by the band, “Hired Gun,” at 5 p.m. on Main Street. NCMC President Dr. Neil Nuttall will give opening remarks. Refreshments of hamburgers, hot dogs and cupcakes will be served during the evening. There is no charge, but donations will be accepted.
Main Street between Crowder Road and 13th Street will be closed from 3:30 to 8 p.m. that day for the event.
