The Trenton High School boys’ golf team traveled back to Kansas City on Tuesday, taking on North Kansas City and Park Hill in a triangular match at Tiffany Greens.
The Bulldogs bested the field, carding a team score of 163 and easily topping North Kansas City’s mark of 196 and Park Hill’s score of 204.
Trenton was paced by Nate Swann, who won another medal with the low score of 37. It marked the third match in a row Swann has turned in a score of 37. He did so this time with five pars and two birdies. Swann took a double bogey on hole five and a bogey on eight, leaving him just one stroke over par for the nine-hole layout.
Behind Swann, Cree Mullenix shot a 40 with four pars and a birdie. Corbyn Guile and Lathan Croy both carded scores of 43 to round out the Trenton total. Both Croy and Guile had three pars in the round and Guile added a birdie on the par-five ninth hole at the course.
Luke Lewis and Tucker Franklin were both in varsity action as all four schools brought six golfers and played the four lowest scores. Franklin came around the course with a score of 45, netting two pars and Lewis parred one hole, finishing with a 53.
With the two victories at the match, Trenton moved to 6-3 overall on the season.

The Trenton golfers are back at it today, this time in tournament action as the Bulldogs compete in the Cameron Invitational Golf Tournament, which teed off at 9 o’clock.
Trenton’s junior varsity players will compete in the Macon Junior Varsity Tournament at 9 a.m. on Monday and the varsity squad returns to the links on Tuesday, playing host to the Chillicothe Hornets in a dual at the Riverside Country Club, which tees off at 4 p.m.
