The dual opened with doubles play, where LeBlond raced out to a 3-0 lead. Jacob Davis and Bryce Whitney lost 8-1, Kade Ockenfels and Wyatt Neal lost 8-3 and Nick Shields and Creed Houghton fell 8-3.
In singles play, LeBlond continued to roll. Davis lost 10-0, Shields fell 10-2, Ockenfels lost 10-4, Whitney was defeated 10-2, Neal lost 10-4 and Houghton was defeated 10-3.
The loss established an 0-1 start to the season for THS.
In junior varsity action, Trenton went 0-4 against LeBlond. Dylan May and Zack Maberry combined for a 6-2 loss, Dillon Parrack and CJ Sibbit lost 6-2, Jeremy Elliott and Colton Hamilton lost 6-3 and Weston Otto and Elijah Oyler fell 6-4.
Trenton’s tennis team will look to bounce back on Monday as it travels to St. Joseph to take on the Benton Cardinals. First serves for the second dual of the season are scheduled for 4 p.m.
