Area and state officer interviews and book competitions were held on March 9. Mariah Fox was named Area II president for the 2016-2017 year. Books made by the officers were judged and placed. The secretary’s book received gold and placed second. The treasurer’s book by Tenna Roberts and the reporters’ scrapbook by Emily Lynch, Sarah Walker and Jaylen Neff both received gold and placed first. Their books will be going on to state competition. Sadie Roy received gold and placed third in the completed ownership record book while Derek Stimpson received gold in completed placement. Karli Provorse received gold with her incomplete ownership record book and Isaac Harris received silver with his incomplete placement record Bbook. Laura Carlson competed in creed speaking and is moving on to the second round of area competition. FFA Area II voting delegates were Hannah Persell and Emily Kasinger.
