R-6 Students Enjoy Adopt-A-Pilot Program

Fifth and sixth graders at Pleasant View R-6 School have completed the Adopt-A-Pilot program through Southwest Airlines. Gary Hooyman of Trenton visited R-6 several times and corresponded with the class frequently via email to update them on his location and what the life of a pilot is like. The students were able to track Hooyman on his flights and he gave the students trivia questions that helped them learn about different parts of the United States. The students and teachers learned a lot through this great program.
