Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt is March 26

Mar 18, 2016 | Headline News

The Trenton Kiwanis Club will host the community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 26 at Moberly Park.
The event, which gets under way at 9:30 a.m., is open to all Grundy County residents ages 10 and under and will be held in the upper area of the park near the enclosed shelterhouse. Age divisions include 0 to 3, 4 to 6 and 7-10. Children should bring their own basket for the hunt.
The park will be sectioned off for different age groups to search for candy and other prizes. In addition, one egg in each age group will contain a grand prize certificate, with the lucky finders receiving a filled Easter basket, courtesy of Dave’s Body Shop.
Those attending are asked to park in either the upper lot near the enclosed shelterhouse or the lower lot near the swimming pool. If using the lower lot, individuals are asked to walk to the upper area of the park on the park road so as not to disturb the area to be hunted.
Grundy County Ambulance personnel and area law enforcement will have vehicles and staff at the park. Children are encouraged to check out the ambulance, police cruisers and visit with personnel. Parents are also encouraged to bring their cameras as there will be an Easter photo area at the shelterhouse.
Individuals, businesses and organizations wanting to make a donation to help offset costs of the event can contact Kiwanis President Kara Helmandollar at 359-5966.
