The Trenton First Assembly of God Church held its annual Royal Rangers/Girls Ministries Pinewood Derby on Wednesday, March 9. Each participant was put into a class based upon his or her grade. At the end, each racer was given a ribbon for all their hard work and the five fastest from each class were awarded a trophy. Awards were also given to those whose cars were nominated as the best in show. While the Pinewood Derby is about each individual racer, there was a large competition between the boys and girls as a group. This year the boys won the fastest overall time, taking back their trophy that the girls took from them last year. Pictured in the top photo are the winners in the third grade through fifth grade class and include, from left, Kayleigh Street, Jena Harris, Jake Schmadeke and Collin Taylor. In the bottom photo are the best in show winners, who included, from left, Abigail Gondringer, Mercy Schweizer and Katie Ferguson.
