As spring has sprung in Trenton, Police Chief Tommy Wright is reminding residents that it is a violation of the city ordinance if grass in their yards is over 8 inches tall.
The ordinance states: “Any lot or land shall be a public nuisance if it has the presence of debris of any kind including, but not limited to, weed cuttings, cut and fallen trees and shrubs, overgrown vegetation and noxious weeds which are eight (8) inches or more in height… ”
Violation of the ordinance can result in a ticket being issued by Trenton Police.
