Funeral services for Sarah “Janie” Gott will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Coon Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
An open visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Gott, an 80-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 10:44 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Gott was born on Nov. 12, 1935 in Harrison County, the daughter of Cloyd and Sylvia Hudson Little. She was raised in the Brimson community. She was married to Wendell Gott on July 2, 1954 in Brimson. They lived primarily in New Hampshire until retiring. After retirement, they lived full-time in an RV for 16 years. During this time they traveled throughout the United States and Canada and succeeded in touring all 50 state capitol buildings. They moved to Trenton 10 years ago.
She was a member of the Brimson Baptist Church and attended the Coon Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gott is survived by her husband, Wendell Gott of the home; daughters, Sharon Orlowski and her husband, Stephen of Derry, NH and Barbara Brunelle of Manchester, NH; a son, Bruce Gott and his wife, Claudette of Salem, NH; grandchildren, Laura, Lisa, James, Triscia, Jared and Christopher; a great-granddaughter, Brianna; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Wilford, John, Marvin and Larry Little and two sisters, Lola Howe and Irene Little.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Springer Cemetery or the Coon Creek Cemetery. They may be left at or mailed to Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, 813 Custer, Trenton, MO 64683.
