Betty Florence Booth, an 86-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Indian Hills Retirement Village in Chillicothe.
Mrs. Booth was born on Feb. 17, 1930 in Modena, the daughter of George and Ruth L. Fair Egeland. She was married on March 18, 1947 in Princeton to Darold Booth, who preceded her in death on December 31, 1997. She attended Turning Point Church at Chillicothe for many years. The past few years, she had attended Highview Baptist Church at Chillicothe. She enjoyed playing bingo, Bible tribute, spending time with her family and shopping.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Booth and his wife, Donna of Chillicothe and Steve Booth of Jameson; one daughter, Sandra Herring and her husband, Ron of Trenton; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Egeland of Chicago, IL and Johnny Egeland of Trenton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Chillicothe.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o’clock tonight (Friday, March 11, 2016) at the funeral home, where open visitation is under way.
