J.R. Archuleta, a 32-year-old Spickard resident, died early on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Pastor Doug Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in the Stucker Cemetery, southwest of Laredo.
Open visitation will be all day Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the mortuary.
Mr. Archuleta was born on March 23, 1983 in Trenton. He loved spending time with his kids, racing four wheelers, and hunting. His passion was truck driving and he enjoyed celebrating life with his mom and brother, B.J.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Archuleta of Spickard; three children, Steven, Jocelyn, and Clayton; four-step children, Tosha, Owen, Derek and Austin Brown; parents, Sandy and Bryan Meservey of Trenton; great-grandfather, Ben Hernandez Sr. of Las Cruces, NM; grandparents, Jorry and Susan Browning of Trenton; step-grandparents, Ralph and Sarah Meservey of Chula and Janice Meservey of Chillicothe; an aunt, Ysella and Lathan Moore of Cameron; an uncle, Jeff Archuleta; two nephews, Brodie and Brycen Bouzek; and cousins, Coleman Browning, Zane Jenkins and Brandi Tuttle.
He was preceded in death by his brother, B.J. Bouzek; his father, Jeff Stevens; his grandmother, Joanna Guerin; and great-grandmothers, Mary Hernandez and Odevine Bulyar.
Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the family to be used for the benefit of the children. Checks can be made payable to “Sandy Meservey” and can be left at the mortuary, north of Trenton.
