Two Named As Finalists For NCMC Post

The North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees has announced the names of the two individuals who will be interviewed for the college president’s position.
Dr. Lenny Klaver of Houghton, MI and Jon Marshall of Iola, KS, were selected for final interviews from a list of seven candidates who were interviewed for the position last week. Dr. Klaver is currently vice president for institutional advancement at Finlandia University in Hancock, MI while Marshall is the vice president for academic affairs at Allen County (KS) Community College.
A 19-member committee made up of two trustees along with community members and NCMC faculty and staff made the recommendation of the two finalists to the board of trustees following two days of interviews. A total of 40 applications were considered by the committee, which narrowed the list to seven and then to two.
The two men will return to Trenton for second interviews, which will be scheduled after NCMC’s spring break (March 14-18). Members of the community and college family will be provided opportunities to meet the candidates and there will also be tours of the college and the Trenton area. Dates and times for these activities will be announced after they are confirmed.
