Pleasant View Splits With Chula

The Pleasant View fifth and sixth grade basketball teams drew a split with Chula Tuesday night. Pleasant View took the girls’ contest 23-8, while Chula won the boys’ match-up 31-17.
In the girls game, Pleasant View got 13 points from Teya Cooksey and Jenna Reeter added six. Chula, meanwhile, got six points from Breanna Pithan. The boys game saw Chula paced by 10 points from Kyler Klein and eight from Ben Pithan. Pleasant View got nine points from Kiefer Tolson and six from Andrew Huffstutter.
Pleasant View’s teams swept Spickard to open the season, winning the girls game 14-2 and boys’ game 23-10, before dropping a doubleheader with Bishop Hogan in their second contests, falling 34-29 in the girls’ game and 40-13 in the boys game.
