Judge Jack Peace

Jon F. Ashford, 35, St. Joseph, pleaded guilty to second degree burglary and was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections, with execution of the sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for five years and is to pay $200 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund plus $3,593.80 restitution.
Alexander J. Curtis, 20, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to first degree trespassing and possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in court March 17.
Miriah M. Butler, 42, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to third degree domestic assault. She is scheduled to appear in court again March 17.
Joseph A. Kincaid, 31, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to three counts of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and one count of operating a motor vehicle on the highway without a valid license. He is scheduled to appear in court March 17.
Stanley D. Patterson, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to driving while intoxicated and had his case set for March 17.
Shannon M. Brake, Trenton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor non-support. He was placed on probation for two years.
Isaac J. Wattenbarger, 18, Trenton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor resisting arrest and third degree assault of a law enforcement officer, a class A misdemeanor. He was sentenced to serve 90 days in the Grundy County Detention Center, with credit given for time served. His sentences are to run concurrently.
Gena Lee, Holton, KS, had her probation revoked on charges of passing bad checks and was sentenced to serve seven years in the Department of Corrections on one count and six years on another count, with the sentences to run concurrently.
Casey A. Russell, 27, Trenton, had his probation extended by one year on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child, with his new release date of Aug. 8, 2018. He is to pay all costs and restitution.
Rex Winters, 45, Kansas City, KS, had his suspended execution of sentence set aside and was sentenced to serve five years in the Department of Corrections on an original charge of second degree burglary and stealing, both class C felonies.
Ashley Yardley, 23, Trenton, had her probation revoked on original charges of possession of a controlled substance and was ordered to serve three years in the Department of Corrections.
Jonathan A. McAtee, Trenton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor resisting arrest and was fined $500, $116.50 costs and $200 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.

Judge Steven D. Hudson

Tracy L. Deneen, Trenton, had two counts of misdemeanor passing bad checks dismissed.
Isaac J. Wattenbarger, 18, Trenton, had a charge of second degree burglary dismissed.
Civil Court
Eldon Cooksey vs. Kristen St. Clair. A default judgment was entered in the amount of $2,500 in the case, which involved rent and possession.
