vs. Marceline
Against Marceline, Trenton fell in a hole early with Tyler Warner (132) and Eric Lovett (138) both losing by fall. Drew Rorebeck got Trenton on the board at 145 with a win by forfeit, but Jeffrey White followed with a loss by fall at 152.
Trenton went on a run following White’s loss as Wynne DeVorss won by forfeit at 160, Tyler Sayre won by fall at 170, Lucas Clark won by a 5-3 decision at 182 and Jadan Whitney (195), Mason Owen (220) and Justin Martin (285) all won by forfeit.

Trenton yielded six more points being open at 120 and Tommy Johnston (126) lost by fall, allowing Marceline to slip past Trenton in the final match of the dual, 42-39.
vs. Lawson
Against the eventual tournament champions, Trenton suffered a bit more of a lop-sided loss. Johnston (126) and Warner (132) were both pinned, but Trenton quickly evened the score as Lovett picked up a win by fall at 138 and Rorebeck won his second match of the day by forfeit at 145.
Lawson took a slim lead after White lost by a 3-2 decision at 152, but built their advantage with pins over DeVorss (160) and Clark (170). Trenton was open at 182 as the dual began to slip away. Whitney lost by a 3-1 decision at 195, but Owen won by fall at 220 to stop the Cardinals’ run.
Lawson bounced back quickly, pinning Martin at 285 and taking a win by forfeit over Trenton at 106. Johnson gave Trenton one final win at 113 and both schools were open at 120.
vs. Knob Noster
Johnson followed up his win against Lawson by getting Trenton off to a good start against Knob Noster with a win by forfeit at 113 in the following dual. Both schools were open at 120, before Knob Noster evened the score with a win by fall over Johnston at 126.
Warner (132) and Lovett (138) were both pinned in the next two matches, but Trenton responded with a win by a 5-4 decision from Rorebeck at 145. White lost by fall at 152, pushing the Knob Noster lead to 15 points.
DeVorss (160) and Sayre (170) both won by fall to cut the advantage to just three points, but Clark was pinned at 182 in the following match.
That was all Knob Noster could do, however, as they were open in the final four weights. Trenton got wins by forfeit from Whitney (195), Owen (220) and Martin (285) to take the lead and the win. Trenton was open at 106.
