Four Trenton High School students have been selected to receive Student of the Quarter recognition for the second quarter of the school year.
Students are selected by faculty based on the criteria of citizenship, leadership, participation and academics. A student can receive the award only one time during their high school career.
The senior honoree is Elizabeth Leeper, the daughter of Dale and Carol Leeper. At THS, she participates in the marching and concert bands and is a member of the student council, FBLA, Key Club, Science Club and FFA. Outside of school, she is a member of the Shelburne Baptist Church and dances with Super Stars Dance Studio.
Connor Cotton, son of Rod and Missie Cotton, is the junior selection. He is a member of the football, basketball and track teams as well Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FBLA and the student council. He also sings with Gold Rush. Outside of school, he is a member of the Hodge Presbyterian Church and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity.
The sophomore honoree is Chase Marsh, the son of Doug and Rosetta Marsh. He participates in football and track and holds membership in the student council, Key Club and the THS Band. Outside of school, he attends Dockery Chapel Methodist Church and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 97.
The freshman recipient is Nick Wattenbarger, son of Jamie Wattenbarger and Erik Wattenbarger. He is a member of the football, wrestling and track teams. He is a member of the Science Club, FBLA, the Science Olympiad and the THS Band. He participates in the Upward Bound program through North Central Missouri College.
