An invitation has been extended to all of north Missouri to come hear Cliff Illig, co-founder of the Cerner Corporation and co-owner of Sporting Kansas City MLS Professional Soccer Club at the fifth annual meeting of the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri.
The event to be held in the Fulkerson Center of Missouri Western State University will take place on Friday, Feb. 5 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Illig will speak about how entrepreneurship and philanthropy positively affects a community’s economy as well as the importance of developing an intentional culture of support for those efforts.
Illig is one of Kansas City’s more visible corporate leaders serving on numerous civic boards and economic development organizations.
Cost for the event, which includes a buffet breakfast, is $30 with scholarships available. Interested persons should contact the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri at its St. Joseph location or Foundation Marketing/Development Director Foundation Steve Maxey.
