Third ward voters will have two candidates to choose from in the April 5 election with the filing of a second person for the two-year term on the Trenton City Council.
Cindy Stewart of 1521 E. 17th St. filed for the position on Thursday. She will join Jeremy Soptic as a candidate for the third ward position to be voted on along with seats in the first, second and fourth wards. Each of those wards has a candidate – Allan Quilty in the first, Brad Chumbley in the second and Scott Blair in the fourth.
Persons wanting to file for the council have until Tuesday, Jan. 19 to do so at city hall.
