Funeral services for Rex Dwayne Garrison are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Garrison, a 71-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 2:02 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Mr. Garrison was born on Sept. 16, 1944 in Trenton, the son of Alonzo Rex and Pearl Azella Marrs Garrison. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1962.
He was married to Janice Campbell on June 14, 1964 at the United Brethren Church in Trenton. He also served for four years in the Navy.
He was an excellent musician and loved to play the guitar. He worked for Hy-Vee in Trenton most of his life.
Mr. Garrison is survived by his wife, Janice Garrison of Trenton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Dola Garrison.
