Trenton Police Chief Tommy Wright, in partnership with the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce, Damsel in Defense and Scientific Fighting, will hold their third Women’s Self Defense and Survival Awareness Seminar.
The program will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Trenton High School wrestling room. The cost is $25 per person and includes lunch. The class is limited to the first 45 paid participants and is for women ages 13-99.
Wright said the class is intended to increase situational safety and awareness for women, provide them with hands on instruction on how to defend themselves in the event of an attack and to display available self-defense products for women. Tickets to participate are now on sale at the police department or the chamber office. Checks should be made out to the Trenton Police Department.
Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact Chief Wright at 660-359-5557 or via his email at [email protected] or Debbie Carmen of the Trenton Chamber of Commerce at 660-359-4324 or by email at [email protected].
