Maggie Stanturf Fischer, a 43-year-old Kansas City and former Trenton resident, died at 9:25 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
An open visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at Resthaven Mortuary. No family visitation is planned.
The family will be at the house of Richard and Leann Lame at 2424 Princeton Rd. in Trenton.
Mrs. Fischer was born on Dec. 2, 1972 in Trenton, the daughter of Tom and Teresa King Stanturf. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1991 before attending North Central Missouri College and Central Missouri State University.
She was married on Sept. 2, 2003 in Eureka Springs, AR to Matthew Fischer. For the last five years she has been working for Continental Disc Corporation in marketing and graphic design. She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church and blessed to have many friends, including her Pink Posse crew.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Matt of the home; parents, Tom and Teresa Stanturf of Trenton; grandparents, Eddie and Merle King of Laredo; mother-in-law, Shirley Fischer of Great Neck, NY; and a large extended and loving family.
Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.
