The Pleasant View R-6 seventh and eighth grade basketball teams closed out the season with a sweep of Chula on Tuesday night. The Lady Blue Jays took the girls’ game 23-20 while the Blue Jays won the boys’ contest 34-27.
In the girls match-up, Teya Cooksey led Pleasant View with 12 points and Grace Allen added five. Chula got 12 points from Breanna Pithan and Jessica Case finished with six.
The boys’ game saw Preston Harris put up 24 points for Pleasant View and Logan Stanton added six. Ben Pithan had 10 for Chula and Samual Pauley scored seven.
