A driver who was attempting to retrieve a drink he had dropped escaped injury, but his vehicle received extensive damage in a mishap investigated by the Trenton Police Department early this morning.
According to Officer Tyler Anderson’s accident report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Gregory A. George of Jamesport was southbound on Main Street just after midnight. He said he dropped his drink and while he was attempting to retrieve it, the vehicle swerved to the right side of the roadway and struck a light pole, causing extensive damage to the car, but none to the pole. No tickets were issued in the mishap.
