Pleasant View Tournament Opens

The Pleasant View R-6 Tournament began on Monday night with four seventh and eighth grade games being played. Bishop Hogan topped Chula in both girls’ and boys’ games and Laredo defeated Pleasant View in girls’ and boys’ contests.
Bishop Hogan topped Chula in the girls’ game 17-7 behind eight points from Sofie Luetticke and seven from Josie Reeter. Chula was paced by four points from Breanna Pithan. In boys’ action, Bishop Hogan defeated Chula 26-4. Logan Potts, Spencer Shira and Carson Crawford all scored four points each to lead a balanced Bishop Hogan attack. Clayton Savage and Samuel Pauley each scored two points to lead Chula.
Laredo’s girls topped Pleasant View 19-8 behind six points from Haven Burress. Hannah Bowe, Grace Larson and Chandler Lynch all scored four points each for the Lady Tigers. Pleasant View, meanwhile, got six points from Teya Cooksey and Megan Spencer scored two. In the boys’ game, Laredo won 29-7. Tanner Williams had eight points, Robert Urich scored seven and Bo Meeker finished with six for Laredo. Pleasant View was led by three points from Logan Stanton while Andrew Flentje and Warren Meservey each scored two points.
