County Accepts Bids For Snow Removal, Car Sale

The Grundy County Commission accepted bids for snow removal and for the sale of a vehicle during its meeting today.
According to Grundy County Clerk Betty Spickard, the commission accepted the low bid from Total Landscaping (Mark Romesburg) for snow removal at the courthouse, the prosecutor’s office and the law enforcement center. The bid was for $360 for snow and ice removal at all three buildings and $120 for ice melt application only, with Romesburg supplying the ice melt. The other bid, submitted by Eric Hoffman, was for $500 for snow removal and $100 for ice melt application only, with the county supplying the ice melt.
In addition, the commission accepted the high bid of $527.78 from David Key for the sale of a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. The only other bid received was for $109.50 from Shannon Howe.
