Alan Michael Sage, a 68-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015 at the Indian Hills Retirement Village in Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Chillicothe.
A family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. General visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Mr. Sage was born on July 22, 1947 in Spokane, WA, the son of Ervin and Gladys Thomas Sage. He was married on Sept. 9, 1967 in Monmouth, IL to Melody Huff, who survives of the home.
Mr. Sage worked as a machine operator and farmer for many years. He was a past member of the Chillicothe Eagles Aerie No. 2428 and the Chillicothe Elks Lodge 656. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include wife, Melody of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Sue Taylor and husband, Robert of Trenton; two grandchildren, Bailey Nicole Dannatt and Coy Alan Taylor; one brother, Dick Sage of Aledo, IL; and three sisters, Nancy Wheeler of Kirkwood, IL, Linda Sage of Galesburg, IL and Donna Sage of Monmout.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Sharon Bishop, Diane Chewning,and Cindy Bryant.
