Grundy Go Getters Meet

The Grundy Go Getters 4-H Club met at the Salem Baptist Church on Oct. 13 with 2 members and six leaders present.
Officers were elected for the coming year. They are President Kennedy Wanstreet, Vice President Milo Simpson, Secretary Bri Chambers, Treasurer Ava Simpson, Reporter Katelyn Clark, Historian/Photographer Abby Simpson, Demonstration Coordinator Makenzee Epperson and Refreshment Coordinator Cade Claycomb.
The club discussed ordering t-shirts. Officer training will be in Chillicothe from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 7 at the Litton Center. Re-enrollment must be completed by Nov 2. The club voted on a gift and card for Melanie McCloud for her service as co-leader. Cassy Gilworth was welcomed as the new co-leader. 
The club voted to adopt at family for the holidays this year. Members discussed individual food donations to make a complete holiday meal for a family.  The club plans to visit the Claycomb Dairy for the Nov. 10 meeting. Members will meet at 6 p.m. at the dairy barn. In addition to learning about milking cows, they have also planned for a bonfire. 
The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were provided by the McCloud Family.  Demonstrations were presented by Abby Simpson on floam and Hailee Hein on pencil top decorations.
