Members of the Busy Bees 4-H Club met on Oct. 18 at Crowder State Park, with 13 members, eight leaders and two guests present.
According to information presented by Morgan Foster, club reporter, President Rebecca Urich called the meeting to order. Jordan Foster led the Pledge of Allegiance and Morgan Foster led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was answered with each member telling how many years he/she has been in 4-H.
Mrs. Urich encouraged members to sign up to serve at the Laredo Lions Club Ozark Supper from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct 24. She also asked members to help with the Drive One Event also taking place on Oct. 24 at Trenton Middle School. She also discussed ringing bells for the Salvation Army again this year.
Mrs. Urich announced Grundy County 4-H Recognition Day will be from 5 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the KCP& L Building in Trenton. Each family needs to bring a finger food to share. She encouraged members and leaders to complete online registration (http://mo.4honline.com) as soon as possible. She stated 4-H Officer Training will be in Chillicothe on Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Logan Foster gave a project report on his agronomy project. Allena Allen gave her public speaking speech on beef. For activity, members went on a Nature Scavenger Hunt led by Anna Persell. Refreshments were brought by the Kidd/Williams family. The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 15 at the Laredo Community Center.
